Hair Loss -A Hormonal Disorder

Each hair has a limited life. When this is reached the hair falls out to make room for new one. Active growth lasts from three to seven years– in exceptional cases a little longer. Then the hair root stops its metabolic activity. The hair loosens itself within 2–4 months and finally falls out. Up to 100 hairs a day can be lost in the same way but this does not present a particular problem. The above mentioned procedure is natural and there is no sign of hair loss if hairs are falling at this rate but there are some more symptoms which show hair loss and they are.

Alarming Signs: Hairs on pillow and cushions

Anyone who thinks they are loosing more hairs then normal then they should count very carefully what is lost over a period of three days, including those hairs which end up in the comb, the wash basin or clothes.

Important: Do not wash your hairs during these three days and only begin to count the day after washing. You should also check to see if there is any white knot at the end of the hair, if it is not then you can consider the hair fall normal but existence of knot means problem in hairs.

If you find a lot of hairs on the pillow when you wake up in the morning, it is a cause of concern. An accurate examination is now recommended.

Hormones  can  be a cause of hair loss

The influence of hormones is the most common factor for the hair loss. With men this can lead to baldness, in women to diffuse hair loss. Diffuse means the hair falls out not from only one place but all over the head and that the reason why hair fall is less noticeable in women then men and we consider this problem of hair loss more often with men in comparison to women.

*Hair loss after pregnancy when the oestrogen balance suddendly sinks. During pregnancy a high amount of oestrogen provides for a longer growth period of hairs. This is suddenly interrupted after birth and hence hair loss starts at fast rate.

*Occasionally a pill can lead to  hair loss, especially hen its oestrogen quantity is really high.

*Hormonal misbalances which lead to hair loss are comparatively rare, and when this does happens hair loss is usually only one of many symptoms.

Sickness and stress
Diffuse  hairloss  can arise in these circumstances:

*Stress: Everyday stress can weaken hair growth, but rarely leads to real hair loss. However, unusual stress like examination, emotional problems, or sickness can provoke real hair loss. Typically, hair drops out after a delayed period of time, from 2–3 months. Cause can be a temporary imbalance in hormones.

*Sickness: especially feverish infections can lead to hair loss. Some medicines under certain circumstances reduce her growth.

What can be the possible cure

*Reducing your mental tension so balance the hormones and work normally.

*Eat healthy diet and nutrients rich for the growth of the hair because everything that the hair needs for growth is taken by food itself. A diet which is not varied and balanced, and in particular lacks protein and iron can lead to hair loss.

*Take vitamin pills and gelatine capsules, but do not get fooled from these hair growth products as natural way to heal hair loss is much safe then the artificial ones.
